According to a source, after losing 70 pounds, Elliot proudly flaunted fittingly sporting baseball cap which read, “You can’t work out with us.”
Along with a baggy sweatshirt, Elliott’s weight loss could not be concealed as her face was noticeably slimmed down. This clearly shows that she’s proud of her frame.

She captioned and writes, “Proudly to say it’s been 4 months I have only drunk water no other juices or soda & I cut out bread & Lord knows that’s been the hardest for me! See I’ve NEVER been a water drinker but this has helped my skin it really restore glow back & I don’t feel sluggish.”
“NOW the other thing if I can only cut out JUNK FOOD shit that’s my weakness #Facts But if I can give up those other things I’ll fight that too! Maybe two cupcakes a month.”
While Missy Elliot was working on her Under Construction Album in 2002, she dropped 70 pounds which were inspired by health reasons. At that time, doctors warned the hip-hop artist that she was at risk of having a stroke if she didn’t lose her body weight.
The sensational singer was diagnosed with a thyroid disorder called Graves’ disease in 2008 that affects the thyroid glands, causing you to lose or gain weight.
Along with that, She remained out of the spotlight in order to focus completely on her health. During that time, she went under medication combined with radiation treatment.
After three complete years, away from the spotlight, Missy opened up to people about how the lifelong disease was affecting her.
She said, “I’ve been on medication for about a year and I’m completely managing the condition through diet and exercise.”
Again in 2014, she hit the stage after shedding 30 pounds more and thanks to her trainer Shaun T’s T25 workout tapes. Everyone was amazed to see her slimmer figure and showed off a whole new version of herself.
